Operation Mincemeat Rosemont Theatre reviews
Katy Perry Janelle Monae
I find Ms. Monae's show much more sophisticated. Overall, good show.
I wish whoever is in charge of this venue would have projected Ms. Monae's show onto the big screen, Ms. Operation Mincemeat.
I am not sure that so many young fans should be asked to stay out until 11. For some reason, she allowed someone calling himself "DJ Skeet Skeet" 40 minutes, which she could have given to Ms. Monae, or which she could have used herself, thus getting her set started and finished earlier.
I also find it regrettable that Ms. Operation Mincemeat, who has a large number of teen and pre-pubescent fans, felt the need to use profanity and sexual suggestiveness, telling an audience member "God Dammit, get your ass up here," and rubbing his bare chest once he got on stage. I am no prude and not a parent, but were I a parent, I would not want my minor children to see this.
Still, I would recommend this to adult fans and their children above the age of 16. I cannot wait for the Janelle Monae/Operation Mincemeat tour.
